KNOW-HOW TO MEET YOUR NEEDS :
Part of CEA Tech’s R&D focuses on the driverless car—an advance that will help make transportation more widely available, convenient, and energy efficient. CEA Tech’s institutes are working on the software, sensors, and other communicating objects that will equip tomorrow’s vehicles and transportation infrastructures
One of CEA Tech’s major research areas is the electric vehicle, with the goal of zero emissions in urban areas. Range is one of the main hurdles to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, and CEA Tech is developing improved batteries and battery management systems (BMS) to extend vehicle range.
The MUSES numerical simulation platform is used primarily to study the behavior of fuel cells and lithium-ion batteries at different scales to provide deeper insights into how they work.
Liten, a CEA Tech institute, recently patented the world’s first 100% polymer film that is both conductive and transparent. The new film could be a good candidate to replace existing materials in electrodes and transparent heating films.
Bolivia is home to a large proportion of the world’s lithium reserves. Bolivian state mining corporation YLB (Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos) has acquired the equipment and know-how required to establish a local lithium industry.
Liten, a CEA Tech institute, helped develop and/or manufacture three types of batteries to power a terrestrial robot for France’s Directorate General for Armaments.
Leti, a CEA Tech institute, presented a GaN microdisplay with the highest resolution ever achieved for a 10-micron pixel pitch at Display Week 2017. The advance was made possible by several innovations used in combination.
