CEA Tech is innovating in a variety of fields to help make buildings more energy efficient. With access to fully-instrumented experimental houses, homebuilders and building materials, systems, and equipment manufacturers can test new solutions and assess their impact on energy performance and occupant comfort. CEA Tech is equipped to test new construction methods, opaque and glass wall panels, materials, stuccoes, new types of doors and windows, innovative ventilation systems, solar collectors, and thermal storage systems.
Reducing the thickness of the silicon wafers used to manufacture photovoltaic cells is one of the solutions researchers are investigating to lower production costs—but only if it doesn’t weaken the wafers.
The MIRPHAB pilot line is a one-stop-shop for mid-infrared detection technologies. It is available to companies that would like to integrate state-of-the-art chemical sensors into their products.
