WiN MS allows companies in the aerospace and railway industries to detect and locate wiring faults (short circuits, open circuits, damage) with a high degree of precision and reliability.
WiN MS uses multi carrier time domain reflectometry (MCTDR), a detection and location technique developed by List that is protected by six patents. This advanced technique can be used on all types of cabling—active or inactive— as well as branched networks. And the solution is very precise, with around ten meters’ resolution over several kilometers. WiN MS also leverages post-processing to adapt to a variety of uses. For the moment, WiN MS’s customers mainly come from two sectors: aircraft maintenance, where its software slashes the time it takes to locate wiring faults five-fold, and real-time monitoring of railway cabling infrastructures to detect any attempted thefts.
Founded in 2012, the company established a joint laboratory with List at its inception. The lab is home to the company’s R&D work, constantly enhancing the solution’s existing technology bricks with the goal of maintaining the company’s competitive advantage. The joint lab also gives WiN MS access to List’s high-level experts and state-of-the art equipment.
